We named our son Aarav...well some people told me its difficult to remember but thts not true...Aarav indeed a very rare n now a famous name...in almost all religious its meaning is related to musical sound...

I have read most comments by many concerned parents. My grandson's middle name is Aarav today 5 days old. It is true the word means PEACEFUL and MUSICAL NOTE and is a sweet name. May Lord bless all and the parents as well. It is not necessary that the meaning of the given name will actually reflect the child's behavior. Given name is only an identity unless or otherwise names are based on, in line with Astrological alignment with Naxtras, Celestial Planets, Longitudes, latitududes etc. which in Hinduism is cleed RAASI KA NAAM. Do not come to any conclusion by the actions of toddlers, they ought to be naughty, funny, etc, this helps them grow mentally and physically. MY hus named ny son aarav in a rush becz my sister named him manit which he dosn't like.he ask me to find its meanning.it took me long time to find its ture meanning- which is aarav a hidh name as some said it's a musilm name. But my son is the same as aarav .... peaceful and lovely music.No doubts about it.He is just 1 yr and dance on musice and even operates his dad's cell phone and dance on the songs very comfortly.

my sons name is Aarav. I was looking for a name that strated with A as my elder son's name is Aaron and while netting someone suggested that i call him Aarav...I looked for the meaning and its was peaceful...he is the best 15 month old a mother could have...a loving child who loves to dance..i didnt know that akshay named his son Aarav!

Hi, Aarav is Unique, Different and Beautiful name, I too researched it before keeping my baby's name. It means : Peaceful. I read the comments peaople are misunderstood with name AARAV(peaceful) and AAROH(Musical note or sound) while pronouncing it sounds little resembled. so no confusion in names and meaning. My son's name is Aarav too. I always liked names begining with A. Plus a year ago I thought it was an uncommon name. But because its publicised now as Akshay Kumar's sons name its becoming too common. Not sure if this is good or bad : )

Yep, my wife and I named our son Aarav, a friend of mine who is Akshay kumar fan was asking me if i named it cos of that and i told him i dint even know his sons name is Aarav, well we came across a site which said Aarav meant peaceful. we had to choose a name from A and Aarav just felt right.

In Malayalam Aarav means hustle or loud sound...But it originates from sanskrit..and in sanskrit rav means rustling sound and aarav means melodious sound...Some of them say peaceful... The name is very nice and short too... We wanted to keep a short name for our son and which can be very easily spelled internationally. As we staying abroad we know how people outside India spell indian names its horrible...they miss many alphabets...and spell something else...

My son's name is Aarav. We had earlier kept his name thinking it means peaceflu, but someother place, we came to know that "arav" means peaceful, but "Aarav" means musical sound, or a musical note...so, its a little opposite to "peaceful"!!!
