Actually Alesya is a Belorusian name and not ukrainian. Ukrainian version would be LESYA.

Just to add to the about statement above, originally the name came from Greeks. The meaning is "truth". During the Roman empire, there was even a city called Alesya. :) So, we have a cool, ancient, historic, name... with a good meaning!
