Ayaan means, Period, or Day we gonna be born gain. There is no other meaning of this name. In Arabic Dictionary, there is no other meaning. People from subcontinent are opting this name without knowing the meaning, they just like the sound of this name. Moreover, we should avoid using numerology, it is satanic way of living. Only Trust God for your future. Anjum

What is wrong with you people??? Ayaan is a Somali girl's name meaning lucky. It's a very common name. NOT a boys name, so why are you calling ur son's ayan. Maybe u need to look into the meaning more closely before u decide to use a name u clearly dont understand. Furthermore, if you're saying that you pronounce it as 'i-un' etc then this is NOT 'ayaan', and perhaps you should change the spelling, because 'AYAAN' is for girl's and means 'lucky'.

We have named our third son Ayaan and we all love this name. The problem we come across is pronounciation of this name. We say it as "i-un", but lot of people say it as "a-un" or "a-aan". I was wondering if I should change the spelling to Aayan. I would love to see how you all pronounce your loved ones name.

My son ayaan ullah khan, has given his name from else one from my family, & my wife put this name as we didn't understand to take decision & registered it. but day after tommorow we have realized that we should change it bacause we could n't found the meaning of this name from muslim name chart. at the last moment my wife told me that let us find out it on internet, & within a second we had gone through the "AYAAN" & DECIDED that its a very good name for my newly born child & we are keeping with this name, a little consideration is show that this name is given to my child is nothing but only ALLAH....it realy amaging for us. ALLHAMDOLILLAH... NIKHAT PARWEEN & UBAID ULLAH

I am not Arabic or Indian. I'm just plain old english canadian but love this name and it's meaning and am considering it for our unborn child. Nowadays people cross cultural bounderies so I'm assuming it would be considered a cultural compliment to do this. Let me know what you think.

I named my son Ayaan. A child is truely a gift from God and some people suffer by having not being able to have children. So yes I love the name & Im sure if there was no meaning Maulana's at mosque would advice not to keep the name. If you don't like it do not leave nasty comments about it either.
