In your biography of the meaning of the name of Daniel you state that he [ie Daniel the Hebrew prophet] survived two death sentences: (a lion's den and fiery furnance) while in captivity in Babylon. This is neither biblically nor historically correct. Yes Daniel did survive the lion's den. You can read this in Daniel chapter six in the Bible which gives and account of this. But it was three other Hebrew boys who were given the names Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego who were thrown into the fiery furnace by King Nebuchadnezzar; not Daniel. You can read about this in Daniel chapter three in the Bible. One other note. The total destruction of the first Temple of God and the capital city of Jerusalm by the Babylonians led again by King Nebuchadnezzar occurred on the ninth day of Av, 586BC not 607BC. Here are two websites to check for accuracy. www.templemount.org/solomon.html and www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solomon's_Temple Thankyou for listening, William Cook
