My name is pronounced Jay-mee, but I have a male friend from Mexico whose name is spelled the same but pronounced Hy-mee. He seems to get somewhat annoyed by people who call him Jay-mee and I have to admit that I get annoyed by people calling me Hy-mee. (we have a lot of mutual friends and work together so it happens a lot) I'm curious to know if they are two different names or the same name in two different languages.
